Audiophiles, audio engineers, and audio aficionados will be thrilled by the Audeze LCD-5 Open-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones, high-performance reference planar magnetic headphones that are designed for professional mixing, mastering, and reference level personal hi-fi listening, even when connected to a low-powered external headphone amplifier or portable device.
The LCD-5 features new planar drivers and magnet structures that extend the frequency response, plus an improved structural design and sculpted earpads that not only feel great, but improve midrange response. The LCD-5 is lightweight, coming in at 1/3 the weight of the LCD-4, and include a premium braided cable and an aluminum travel case.
Instead of utilizing traditional dynamic cone drivers, the headphones implement a neodymium planar magnetic transducer design to deliver a frequency response of 5 Hz to 50 kHz with a THD of less than 0.1%, an impedance of 14 ohms, an efficiency of 100 dB per 1 mW, and a total output SPL of over 130 dB. The Audeze LCD-5 are handmade in the USA.
