Most wireless mic kits look the same: a black puck on a collar. Insta360's Mic Pro turns that puck into a screen. Each transmitter wears a 1.22" colour E-ink face you can load with a logo, a channel name or a guest's handle, and it keeps the image even when the mic is switched off.
The display is the headline, but it isn't the whole story. Every transmitter also records 32-bit float to 32 GB of internal storage, switches between four pickup patterns from a three-capsule array, and reaches up to 400 m. We now carry it in two kits, 1TX + 1RX at €209 and 2TX + 1RX with charging case at €329, plus a spare Mic Pro Transmitter at €109.
What the Mic Pro does differently
- A mic you can brand. Upload artwork through the Insta360 app. E-ink only draws power when the image changes, so a static logo costs no battery.
- 32-bit float safety copy. Each transmitter records a WAV backup internally, so a clipped laugh or a dropped signal can still be saved in post.
- Four pickup patterns. Omni, cardioid, figure-8 and super-directional from three built-in capsules. Rare on a clip-on mic, useful when the room is noisy.
- AI noise reduction and auto gain. Cleaner voices on the street, steadier levels when a speaker leans in or away.
- Straight into Insta360 cameras. The transmitter pairs directly with X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2 and GO Ultra for 48 kHz audio, no receiver needed.
- Long runtime. About 10 h per transmitter, 11 h on the receiver, and around 30 h for the 2TX kit with its charging case.

Real-World Reactions
"The Insta360 sounds great, very close to a full-sized microphone."
The recurring caveat in reviews is size: the transmitter is bigger than the button-sized mics it competes with. If you want the mic to disappear on camera, that matters. If you want it to be seen, it's the point.
Who it's for
Get the 1TX + 1RX if you film yourself: vlogs, tutorials, talking-head videos on camera or phone.
Get the 2TX + 1RX for interviews and two-person shows. The charging case alone is worth the step up if you shoot all day.
Add a Mic Pro Transmitter when a third voice joins, or to pair directly with an Insta360 camera and leave the receiver at home.
Look elsewhere if you need the smallest, most invisible lav on the market, or if you shoot in the rain. The Mic Pro isn't rated for water or dust.
